Passion Project end results

During my Passion Project, I was able to accomplish my goal of having 15 or more locations under travel and activities/goals. Also, I was able to accomplish a successful list of places I'm striving to actually visit. In my opinion, I would say my project was successful because I did more than 15 in both categories, along with pictures and a comparison. Also, my time was cut short because I decided to change my topic about a quarter of the way through.
A huge mistake I made was from changing projects from something entirely different. I enjoyed my current project than I did previously, but I need to learn how to chose the right project for me at first so I can have all the time available. Another mistake I made was my lack of preparation. I believe I presented well, but I could have made it more interesting and explained better towards the end of my PowerPoint. Even though I had some struggles along the way, I did manage to make my project look well layer out. I took about 4 hours to make my presentation, I want to have a high test category to maintain a good grade.

Passion Project Progress

Originally, my idea was to think of a simple and fun way to help people remember to let their dogs in if there is extreme weather conditions. This passion project wasn't as easy nor as fun as I thought it would be, so I switched to a Bucket List of a variety of places, activities and food I want to experience. I was not planning on changing, so I'm a little behind but I can be caught up without any problems.  I'm really enjoying my new idea a lot more than my original idea because it really excites me. As my passion project progresses, I'm thinking about ideas to present to the class. For example, I can make categories called places, activities and food, then post pictures along with it.

The next four Fridays I have to work on my Passion Project, I'm planning on adding at least 20 places to each category and adding pictures along with them. I don't need to adjust anything to my new project, I have all my resources ready to use for the remainder of the time. If I do finish early, I will add more items to my categories.

Throughout this Passion Project, I realized I get very stressed out very fast. Especially when I'm faced with challenges with school. My concern is when I get to college I will get more stressed out than I already am. I'm going to try and get help with it so I don't have to worry all the time.

Passion Project

For my Passion Project, I have decided to do something that I feel very strong about and would also save many life's of animals. In the hot temperatures, many parents some how forget their children are in the car and leave them in the car. Unfortunately, some cases lead to the death of their children. Recently, there was an idea to help try and stop these horrific accidents. Once you get in the car, take off a shoe and place it in the back seat next to your child. This way, you'll more than likely remember to put your shoe back on and grab your child from the backseat!

My idea is pretty similar to this idea, except for helping children's lives' be saved, I am helping animals. I'm very concerned about the health and safety of the dogs left outside in extreme weather conditions. I am planning to do research about safe temperatures and also the unsafe temperatures.
One of my main reasons for choosing this idea for my Passion Project is because I am an animal lover. Ever since I was a baby, I have been raised in a veterinary hospital and have been around all sort of animals. Animals anywhere from a goldfish to a cheetah. My mom is a veterinarian and my step dad was a veterinarian as well. I got my first puppy when I was 2 years old, and she is still alive today. I would say my love and passion for animals is because of my lifestyle I have grown up in. This Passion Project is a great opportunity to help save many lives' of dogs around the United States.

A sleepover gone hilariously wrong

In my last year of middle school, 8th grade, I started Prince of Peace. Unfortunately, the one year Taylor wasn't attending Prince of Peace, was the year I came. Even though she did not come to this school, Taylor and I still talked most of the time. I became very determined to be friends with her. One Friday after school, Taylor and I decided to have our first sleepover. As we discussed and discussed what fun adventures to do the following night, we chose on sleeping at my house.
Along with a sleepover, we were going to a movie that night too and wanted to get all prettied up. At this time, I didn't really have much makeup, so we decided to go to my mom's bathroom to use all her makeup. While we got ready in my mom's bathroom, we were playing loud music and talking, then we heard a very loud noise. It sounded like a door slam. Before that it sounded like a garage door opening. We stopped the music and looked at each other in panic. After a few moments of silence, we heard footsteps. Most people have a first reaction to panic and run, Taylor and I had a different idea in mind. We decided to move all the big heavy furniture in front of my moms bedroom door and gather heavy objects to throw at the intruder. Minutes have passed and we are freaking out, so we decided to call my grandparents that live down the street. They did not answer so we ran and hid in the bathtub with my pet opossum.
10 minutes later, we decide to move the furniture back into its original place and check outside the door. Taylor and I saw no one or anything, and ever since that day, we decided to always set the alarm to my house. Although it wasn't as bad as the Ballonfest 86, a fun intended first sleepover turned out wrong, in a hilarious and scary way.
